Sunglint on the Alabama Waterway

.Within this June 26, 2023, photo drawn from the International Space Station, sun light polishes off the smooth waters of the Alabama Stream in a sensation referred to as sunglint. When photographing Earth, rocketeers usually benefit from sunglint's propensity to increase the comparison between water surface areas and neighboring land surface areas.In the 1960s, the Alabama Waterway was obstructed, creating Dannelly Tank (the large shining area at center left). Construction of the dam likewise raised water levels upriver. This caused flooding at several aspects along the river. These flooded zones are normal of flood plains-- the low, level places immediately alongside bigger waterways.
